WHAT DOES ZHANDOU MEAN?
Like a lot of names around the site, Zhandou is Chinese. It means fight, combat or battle. [break][break]
WHY DO Pokémon NEED HUMANS?
If they have powers, what’s keeping them from just overtaking humanity and become the superior race?
[break][break] Well, yes, Pokémon are powerful compared to humans, but humans are much more resilient. [break][break] In order for a Pokémon to reach its full potential he will need energy. Their energy comes from the pokeball, which in turn, comes from the humans themselves. This is why trainers that have more than one Pokémon are few and far between. Humans are giving up their life force to power the abilities the Pokémon use, this is why the stronger the link, the stronger the team. [break][break]
THEY WERE AT WAR?
"War, good god now, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing!" [break][break] Pokémons and humans were actually at war for a very long time in the past, but now they have decided to make peace. In a show of camaraderie they hold something like the Olympics, where one human and one Pokémon team up for the Tournament. [break][break]
WHO INVENTED THE POKEBALL?
Funny enough it was the Pokémon who invented the pokeball, though the pokeball in the Zhandou universe is nothing like the pokeball we know. instead of holding the Pokémon inside of it the pokeballs here are capsules that store and transfer data as well as energy. For the pokeball to work, however, both need to hold the sphere around the palm of their hands so it can claim their dna and lock the pokeball to them. That pokeball will only work for the two after the "contract" is set. [break][break]
CAN A HUMAN OR Pokémon BREAK CONTRACT?
If things don't work out either can choose to destroy the agreement using the pokeball's holographic UI. Once the pokeball acknowledges the owners through a scan and both hit accept, the data is erased, and the connection between the two is nullified.

WHAT ABOUT TECHNOLOGY?
Pokémon technology far exceeds human technology, though nowadays it has meshed together nicely. From hover cars to space ships, mechs and even A.I. as long as the staff and thread creator is alright with it, the sky's the limit.

Is there one universal language, or do different species have different native tongues?
If different, which one is dominant?
What is the species communities like? - Nomadic, solitary, or stationary cities? - Do they hunt, fish and/or herd for meat [if meat is a dietary staple]? - What crops do they grow/eat the most? - What excess resource or goods do they trade with others? What do they need in return? - What are some cultural dishes, favorite arts/crafts, and other artistic specialties? - What is their level of technology and industry?
Is it normal for adult offspring to continue living with the parents through adulthood, or even marriage? Or are they expected to leave the house once of age/wed?
What is the average number of children a family unit has? Who takes responsibility for raising them, mom, dad, all parents, extended family, entire village?
Is their society underpopulated, overpopulated or stable? Why?
How are their dead put to rest? Burial, cremation, set out to sea, something else? How are they treated and mourned through the process?
Holidays and traditions, which come from which species and why?
What does the species need to consider someone 'successful' in life? Money, a big family, a particularly advanced level of skill in arts/combat/whatever?
What do they consider an appropriate greeting? Just a hello, a particular phrase, some form of physical contact?
What is the species generally tolerate or intolerant of, both food-wise and interaction-wise?
Is there any sort of animal or food product culturally considered bad to eat [even if they're perfectly capable of digesting it]? - If this is a religious thing, are there those who ignore it? -- How are those who ignore it treated by others?
