Zhandou is a roleplay set in a Pokémon Alternate Universe, where the Pokémon aren’t mere creatures, but a humanoid race with shifting abilities and grandiose power.

Every four years a system wide tournament is run, known only as The Zhandou Tournament.

The tournaments were first held to honor the Pokémon gods, but in time they have evolved into a celebration of the strong bond between humans and Pokémon.

Trainers and pokemom alike come from far and wide to test their melee and connection to their companions.

It is a test of their strength, will and partnership.

Humans lived on Terra, unaware of other intelligent life among the stars.

Pokemon landed, and though initially Humans welcomed the new race with open arms, relationships between the two had always been shaky.

Feeling invaded Humans called out war. The conflict became known as the First Terran War, one of many Terran Wars to follow.

That, however, was long ago. Today they have decided to make peace.

In a show of camaraderie they built a haven for both races; a station named Xintian ^(shin-tien). A superb technological achievement, and with its name meaning New Day, both races hoped their new found alliance would be everlasting.

It would only stand to reason that on the Xintian they held the tournament that is meant to show the camaraderie between Human and pokemon.
